LC Hauling ("LC Hauling," "we," "us") is a motor carrier based in Louisville, Kentucky. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to lchauling.com and to the information we handle in the course of arranging and hauling freight.

Information we collect

Customers, brokers, and shippers. When you tender freight to us or contact us about a shipment, we receive business contact information — name, company, email address, telephone or mobile number — along with shipment details such as load or reference numbers, pickup and delivery locations, appointment times, and rate information. This typically reaches us on a rate confirmation, in a carrier packet, or by email or phone.

Driver applicants. If you submit an application through our Apply page, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, contact information, employment history, commercial driver's license details, and other qualifications relevant to a driving position. Our website does not store applications. The form generates a PDF that is emailed to LC Hauling management, and the application is retained in our business email systems.

People who contact us. If you call, text, or email us, we receive the contact details and the contents of your message.

Website visitors. Our website may collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, in server logs used to operate and secure the site.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, or financial account details through our website.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• arrange, dispatch, track, and complete freight shipments
• communicate with customers, brokers, and shippers about loads in progress
• provide shipment status when a caller identifies a load by its reference number
• evaluate driver applications and meet driver qualification requirements
• invoice for services and collect payment
• comply with federal and state motor carrier regulations and recordkeeping obligations
• operate, secure, and improve our website

Text messages

If you provide a mobile number to LC Hauling in connection with a shipment, we may send you text messages about that shipment — for example, confirmation that a load has been picked up, an estimated delivery time, or confirmation of delivery.

• Consent. We treat a mobile number provided to us on a rate confirmation, in a carrier packet, or directly by you for shipment coordination as consent to receive shipment-related text messages from us.
• Message frequency. Frequency varies with shipment activity. We send transactional shipment messages only; we do not send marketing text messages.
• Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. Reply HELP for assistance.
• Cost. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS consent information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run our business:

• Service providers who operate systems on our behalf — for example telephony and messaging providers, cloud email and file storage, and business software used for dispatch, accounting, and invoicing. These providers may process information only to provide services to us.
• Brokers, shippers, and consignees involved in a shipment, as necessary to arrange, track, and confirm delivery of that shipment.
• Financial partners, including our factoring company, as necessary to invoice and collect on completed shipments.
• Regulators and law enforcement, when required by law or to respond to lawful requests, including federal and state motor carrier authorities.
• In a business transaction, if LC Hauling is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information.

Shipment status by phone

Our automated phone system can provide limited status information about a load to a caller who enters that load's reference number. We deliberately limit what this discloses, and it does not provide information about loads that are complete. If you would prefer that we not disclose specific details about your shipments through this system, contact us and we will accommodate that.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and to meet our legal, regulatory, tax, and recordkeeping obligations. Driver qualification and application records are retained for the periods required by federal motor carrier regulations. Shipment and billing records are retained as required for tax and audit purposes.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including access controls on our email and business systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may:

• opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP
• ask us what information we hold about you
• ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
• ask us to delete information, where we are not required to keep it

Children

Our website and services are directed to businesses and to adults seeking employment as commercial drivers. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
